McLaren Vale Kangarilla Road 2005 Shiraz Is a Winner

Yesterday at Costco I purchased the Kangarilla Road 2005 Shiraz, which usually sells in the low $21 range, for about $14. After breathing for a half hour, the Kangarilla proved to be a winner--an explosion of black cherries, blackberries, and black licorice, complex, supple. Highly recommended.
A friend of mine works for Costco. This company treats their employees decently and has surprisingly competitive wages and health benefits...as opposed to Walmart. He's a department manager.
BTW, I noticed that at Trader Joes, they often bring in a new wine priced low and if there's strong demand for the wine, TJ ups the price.

I like the Costco business model.
Thus far at Trader Joe's I've been lucky they haven't upped the price of their 2.99 wines, especially their Shiraz. It tastes like a $40 bottle.
