Had a nice email from Tao Qu (tquchina on Ebay) about availability of Degen DE1128 on ebay. Here is his reply:
"The Chinese Degen DE1128 will not be suitable in USA because the MW band is fixed on 9KHz (no 10KHz support), and the panel labels and the LCD display no English ... this is the request from Eton/Grundig to protect their own G2 ..."
So we'll have to wait and get the Eton version, the G2.
Jeff, you will be able to buy the Eton G2, which is exactly the same as the Degen DE1128 except with 10 kHz MW spacing and English lettering. What Tao meant is that it would be useless to buy the DE1128 from Ebay even if available, due to the issues he mentioned.

I don't get it. What about buyers from Europe then? We use 9kHz spacing, but we certainly don't read Chinese...
