A.Black:PL398MP can not do recording,
Gary:Degen DE1128 has Asian 9 khz setting only on AM, as far as I know.

That's true, Vimal, but clearly the G2 is based on (not identical to) the DE1128. I guess Eton wants less competition from Degen in the 10 kHz market.
