Speaking of this radio, mine has suddenly acquired a "beep" when I press the power button on or off. I don't know what I did to cause this, and I can't figure out how to stop it. Anyone know?
If it matters I have the Silicon Scientific version (i.e the one without memories).
Great radio, by the way.
Thanks for any help.

Ken - If it works like the CCRadio-SW, try pressing and holding the Snooze bar to toggle the beep on or off.

Gary, that was it! Thanks! I must have accidentally hit the bar at some point which turned on the beep --Ken

E-Bay 400276252590 Check out this wonderous monster.
There are also some other similar Sony models---priced more reasonably. But this one caught my eye!
