For it to be really retro, the app needs to have adjustable reverb; adjustable simple-minded, single-banded dynamic range compression (like a Volumax); and, of course, rolloff of any audio above 5 kHz or so. Audio cartridge cue tones and top-of-the-hour time signals would be a nice bonus.

So, if I miss the "retro" sound of AM radio, I can buy this app, or I can turn on one of my AM radios. Hmm...
