Re-enacting Planet of the Apes

If my memory serves me correctly, the classic Planet of the Apes was shot at the beach by my house. That would be the strip of sand between Redondo Beach and Palos Verdes.

We trekked our way toward the fallen Statue of Liberty upon which time my daughter Natalie did her best impression of the crestfallen Charleton Heston who upon discovering the human's fate falls to his knees and delivers a long, repeated blasphemy.
