Addressing my need for an earbud extension so I won't pull my radio off my night table anymore, Greg writes:
So I use that 6 foot extension to bring the earphone plug to the bed, to a place convienent to the underside of my pillow. I have reoccuring thoughs of one morning my wife finding me dead in the bed, a earphone cable wrapped multiple times around my neck causing suffication sometime during the night... I suppose after 20+ years of doign this and still being alive, the chances are slim? Anyways - I keep the life insurance up to date.
AND KUDOS to the wife - She puts up with all of this - current stack at the bedside table - Panasonic RF 4900, Eton E1, and Kenwood R5000.

Kudos to your wife is right.
Do you listen to the radio throughout your sleep? I can't imagine doing that. Your dream life must be...interesting.

I need to drown out my inner thoughts with talk radio. I have done this since I was in my teens. I'm 50 now.

And I thought that I was the only one to do that since childhood. A very effective sleep aid! I've ruined countless earbuds over the years. Tried a pillow speaker recently and had to really push my ear into the pillow to hear it, uncomfortably so, and couldn't hear it when laying on my back.
