Jeff - Does Seiko make Kinetic versions of their Pilot watches? How does Seiko Kinetic compare to Citizen Eco Drive?

The Seiko SKA425P2 is kinetic but hard to get. The Eco Drive is easer to own, just pick up and go; you have to baby those kinetics. It's a matter of preference and style.

Gary, funny you should mention eco drive because Seiko has a solar pilot watch, the Seiko SSC007: http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-SEIKO-Mens-Solar-Chronograph-Watch-SSC007-/190749655877?pt=Wristwatches&hash=item2c6990c345

I like this one a lot Jeff. It reminds me of one of my Aeromatics.

Bristling is a BIG no for me! A friend owns one, and the metal strap, no-kidding how sturdy it looks, gave way! Within warranty! As I took it to Brietling store in Manhattan, they asked me $270 to replace the link! They say the metal-link is not under warranty! You buy a freakin' $4,000 watch to find out links are not under warranty! A BIG disappointment! Anyways, my friend had a separate link left from origin which head removed to fit his wrist, dug it, found it. Now the store still wants $170 to repair that link, and mind you no warranty after repair!
What is Brietling thinking? We have money to throw away?
He wished he had guts to throw away a $4K watch, now he's looking to sell it...

Angelo

GS: Brietling probably assumes, rightfully, that anyone who can afford $4000.00 for a watch and is willing to spend it...indeed DOES have money to throw away. Buy any expensive car, particularly sports cars, and you'll find that a tiny part, not under warranty, costs a fortune to fix. A similar part on a Chevy Cruze will cost a fraction of that----they know who has money to burn I guess.
