I go to the NYTimes Book Review every day and found I needed a subscription. I had no idea what the cost would be and was taken aback to find it was $200. Then a week or so later, while wrestling over the $200 fee, I discovered an education rate, requiring an email ending in .edu, which I have.
The discounted rate is $90 a year. I decided to do it. That's about 25 cents a day, not bad.
That's great! I used to subscribe to paper copies of the NY Times and WSJ, but switched to the electronic versions after I was burglarized.
When I travel, sometimes the subscription was not stopped correctly, and that was basically a big announcement that my house was empty. I mainly use the online version, and have not looked back. As my wife pointed out to me; if I ever need a paper copy of the newspaper, I can easily buy one anywhere in town.
