There's not jut one hole behind there, but two. Could this be the reason behind it sounding so full? I had to investigate.

There's a small speaker, and a passive radiator or drone cone.
Surprised? I am, but it makes sense.
Now we know.
Technot reviewed M7 on Amazon on December18,2012:
"The speaker in this radio is no ordinary speaker. There is a 40mm round speaker set at the top front of the left side of the radio and an oblong, maybe passive radiator cone below it. I didn't want to take this radio apart to investigate. It sounds like it is in a small wooden cabinet."
