New study shows that Facebook causes envy with vacation photos stirring the greatest resentment. Just yesterday one of my Facebook friends posted dozens of photos from his Thailand trip and I was overcome with the thought, "My God, my life is passing me by while I rot in this little suburban slab of concrete."

Jeff, I had the same thought many times, mainly as I watched my toddler playing in the Chuckie Cheese ballpit--how did my life come to this? And this was pre-Facebook. All I can say is, it gets better. To everything there is a season, and what you are doing now on your little slab of concrete will have ramifications that will far outlast a glitzy trip to some faraway vacation spot.
