We'll see how hard it is in the long-run, but I only got the blue a couple days ago so I've been wearing it non-stop. Love it...love them both (But I'll eventually miss my Black Monster, Nighthawk, etc).
The black has a better everyday feel. The blue, which is closer to purple or indigo and doesn't show up accurately in pictures, is more fun and striking.

In person, I'm betting it looks almost like cobalt blue, or as you say, indigo. That is really, really nice.

"Aftermarket" dial, "aftermarket" hands, "aftermarket" bracelet. No papers. "Aftermarket Seiko?"!!

Angelo, there are a bunch of folks - small businesses, really - that involve modifying watches. I'm guessing that in the case of that watch it is still considered a Seiko because of the movement and case. I've seen others like it - with different color dials, hands, etc.
Or there is someone like Yobokies ("Seiko Boy" spelled backwards), who sells used watches but also parts and built watches, including his someone well known "Albacore" which is a less expensive knock-off of the Tuna.
Check out his photo site here:
