A year ago I had accumulated 55 watches, many of which I never wore. I also developed a dread and anxiety over the collection, dealing with battery changes and daylight savings and whatnot.
So I started selling them, buying one for every five or so. If my next wave of watches all sell on eBay, I'll be down to 23 watches.
Some people glory in their 300-plus collections. I'm not one of them. I feel better keeping it under two dozen.
Speaking of Daylight Saving Time, it's right around the corner -- Sunday March 10.

I think 24-30 seems like a good number----rotating some out every once in a while. In my case, I have some cheapies that can be discarded/donated when I'm tired of them---much less pressure than if every watch is worth a hundred dollars or more, though not as nice a collection for sure. But I've found that the inexpensive watches do serve a little bit of the purpose of providing "newness/change" once in a while.
