Last night I broke in my newly acquired Seiko SpeedMaster SBDL021 in less than an hour. My daughter Natalie wouldn't sleep complaining of itching, so I gave her liquid Benadryl and told her not to move as I placed the measuring dispenser into her mouth. At that moment, she jerked with a big laugh and the liquid syrup spilled on my wrist, including the band of my brand new SpeedMaster. You can see the marks on the band evidencing I didn't rinse it thoroughly enough.
I really love the watch, which like my Tuna has a shroud and almost identical case. The power on the SpeedMaster is solar.
I love the details on this SpeedMaster. I can stare at it over and over and have to be careful to keep my eyes on the road while I'm driving.
The SpeedMaster costs half of the Tuna but unlike the Tuna which has synthetic crystal the SpeedMaster has real sapphire. I don't understand Seiko pricing but I love both these watches.
