The big talk radio guns are gone. They no it's the dead zone. Their subs are struggling. And who wouldn't be?
Interested in pre-playoff NBA? Nope.
Winter Olympics? Nope.
How NFL players may or not be anxious about showering with Michael Sam? Nope.
NFL combine? Nope.
Beginning of MLB season? Nope.
Local talk radio asking if Lakers will ever be relevant? Nope.
After the Super Bowl, I take a long sports talk radio hiatus.
It's horrible out there Jeff. It's not that I don't like some of the other sports----I'll listen to a baseball game on the radio, or watch a good game on TV. NASCAR is okay by me. March Madness, fine. NBA basketball playoffs (especially if my Bobcats soon to be Hornets again make it) I'm interested in. NHL hockey okay. But in all seriousness, absolutely NONE of this is interesting with how it translates to people on the radio talking about any of it. For me, NFL talk rules the roost. THAT I will listen to. In fact, if I know there's going to be a lot of programming about the NFL draft, I'll listen to every minute of that. But everything else is a waste of my time.

I'll often listen to an actual game on radio, but chatter about the games and athletes is of very little interest. There are plenty of websites for that.
