Class Drop Policy

To prevent students from running scams in the realm of financial aid and immigration, California law stipulates that I must drop ALL nonviable students, those who have missed 5 or more classes (3 during short semesters) for any reason, (even documented medical emergencies since student presumably has not had the appropriate course work time) and/or not turning in assignments. Failure to turn in an assignment is defined as any assignment that is over 2 weeks late. The above conditions compel me by law to initiate a drop form WITHOUT student consent.
