Best $50 Radio?

It's been reported by RadioIntel  that Radio Shack is selling a $50 radio, big and sturdy like the twice as costly Grundig/Eton S350 but is digital with memory presets. Here's the Radio Shack link to the new, possibly greatest for-the-price radio the Radio Shack 12-150. Also called the "Extreme-Range" radio, the 120-50 is reviewed in great detail by an eham reviewer.

Update: 11-17-06: Customer Reviews on the Radio Shack website are not promising: Customers complain of quality control problems, less than stellar reception, cheap qaulity. I don't think I'll be buying the so-called "Extreme-Range." I'll save my money and fork out 160 dollars for the Eton Sound 100, which should be available soon. Or for a radio that has the same lunch pail shape of the "Extreme-Range," I'd get the real king, the Kaito KA2100, a rebadged Redsun, which radio lovers agree is the best of its kind.

Breakfast: Oat cereal, nonfat milk, chocolate whey isolate protein powder on the cereal, citrus, French roast coffee with chocolate soy milk; anti-oxidants, B-complex, flax seed. Alternative: Eggs or egg whites with half a bagel.

Lunch: Soy burger, hummus, low-fat cheese, yogurt, broccoli steamed with low-fat butter, salt, pepper, Parmesan cheese. Alternative: Scrambled eggs or egg substitute with low-fat cheese.

Snack: Nonfat plain yogurt with 2 or 3 dates.

Dinner: Soy meat burger or fish with wild rice, currents, honey, cinnamon, low-fat butter, tomatoes or broccoli on the side.

Snack: Apple, tangerine or carrots.

Snack: Small bowl of oat cereal with whey isolate protein.
