The Panasonic 3700 Digital Radio is being featured on Amazon today even though it appears it won't be available for another month or so. It features FM/MW/LW and 32 presets and goes for $96. A web search reveals that it's been available in the UK for some time now. I did an Internet search and came across an excellent radio blog with several radio reviews and comparisons. The blog, Stephan's Virtual Shack, reports that the 3700 has been available since the mid 1990s and that its FM reception is not remarkable and even less impressive on AM. So my desire for this new Amazon offering has just disappeared.

The RF 3100 is a classic. I believe my grandfather had one when I was a little kid and not fully appreciative of radios. I hope this new Panasonic continues their tradition of great radios.
