Eh, something's wrong with that NPR story... Morris never wore a fancy collar or ate from a crystal dish...that was the ad for "Fancy Feast" cat food which used a very posh-loooking white cat, name unknown, with a bejeweled collar and the owner calling it to dinner with bell-like tones from the fork-struck Waterford dish...

Ed, quite possibly I have reconstructed that NPR story from 15 years ago in a way that lacks accuracy as I have perhaps added Fancy Feast images without knowing it. Thanks for showing me that possibility. I should perhaps edit the post.
