That sounds marvelous.

I want an antenna kite.

Just a kite using a wire instead of a string, I imagine, and the other end of the wire going to your radio.

Anyone curious as to what reception conditions that might bring?

Umm, I think Ben Franklin tried that and almost didn't live to tell about it!

Actually, Terry, Marconi DID use a kite antenna to transmit and receive "dot-dot-dot" (the letter "S" in morse code) across the Atlantic in 1903.
