Beloved by many, the GE Superradio III sold as the RCA Super Port radio and then disappeared for several months. Now it's back again. Called the RCA RP7887 Super Portable Radio, it sells for $68 on Amazon.
I owned one for a few years and finally gave it away to a student. The radio has a cheap feel and an inaccurate tuning dial, but I know why people like it. For the price, it delivers huge sound and excellent AM and FM reception.
If you want a real "Super Radio," you might want to look on eBay for the GE Super Radio II, which in mint condition can command in excess of $200. But like the Panasonic RF-2200 and RF-888, the II version is a Super Radio indeed.
The Superadio III is ugly. That in and of itself wouldn't stop me from buying one, but it would have to be far, far better than anything else available, and it's not (especially if you are open to buying used). GE did make some attractive radios---but seemed to mail it in on the III.

I'm holding out for the Buzz Aldrin edition.

The SR III must be one of the ugliest radios ever built ...
