I don't know much about this model, an RF-597 described in good shape with no scratchy tuner or volume, a good sign.

It looks pretty flawless, bug it's not multi-band---price might be just a little steep for an AM-FM. I would assume though, as AM-FMs go, this is a very good one.
By the way, someone recently listed an RF-3000 with a starting bid of around $75.00 and a Buy It Now option of, I think, $109.00. Someone jumped on the Buy It Now. A couple months ago, an RF-3000 in apparently very nice condition sold for $530.00. I think the 109.00 Buy It Now was a solid purchase for someone. I've been enjoying my own RF-3000 this weekend.

I've been getting closer and closer to taking a stab at a vintage shortwave boombox. My wife has an old Sanyo mini boombox/cassette player (AM-FM). Sanyo quality is good. I'm passing on this one, but currently bidding under 10.00, it's a steal. I'm curious about the shortwave reception.
