Jeff, if I recall correctly I sent you the manual for the Sony ICF-5900W and the adapter mentioned above is also for the Sony. The Panasonic RF-888 does not need an adapter ...

my 888 didn't come with an adapter so I bought a universal one that you can adjust. you didn't send me manuals for both radios? Someone did.

I'm confused about the discussion about adapters for the RF-888. I've always plugged directly in with the 110 v power cord.

You have the correct cord. I had no cord and had to buy the 110v.
