This one (in the link below)has a ferrite that runs the length of the case. All radios of this vintage benefit (drastically if used a lot over the years)from having an alignment carried out. The case that the radio is in is almost exactly the same as the above.

One note of caution - PP9 batteries - a lot of these radios take these batteries (which are a lot more rare and more expensive) these days. However a lot have already been modified to take either external powerpack or different batteries.

One last note - A lot of these radios have a 'turntable' or rotator built into the base - making it easy to turn the radio for best AM reception.
