Angelo has apprised us of this Worldstar Boombox. Probably needs to be lubed to get scratchy sounds out of the tuner and volume control. However, could be a good deal.

I don't know about it, but maybe Angelo can recommend it. He found it.

No, I can't recommend it. But earlier, the blog featured an "Electrobrand" radio with a "Buy It Now" of around $100.00. My point in referencing this one is that it's probably every bit as good as that Electrobrand, and it's bidding for ten bucks. I think this "Worldstar" is probably on par with those Readers Digest radios----not spectacular, but servicable for knock around use. Also, here's one that I'd expect to be a very good performer and value if the price stays south of $35.00: Check out 290299250810. Based on owning an older one of this brand, I CAN recommend this one.

That 7-dollar Hitachi should be a great value.

One of my top tier AM performers is a vintage Hitachi. This one will rise as the auction gets closer to the end---but it might get overlooked and if it stays around $30.00 or so, it's a buy.
