It doesn't appear that the C.Crane website is doing a lot to launch its next big product, the CCRadio 2. With its availability due on May 12, there is no news of it on the C.Crane website. In fact, the site's "New Products" category only features products for Fall of 2008. That is so six months ago.
I wouldn't hold my breath.

If something as simple as keeping a website current cannot be done, then how can a new product be launched on time?

I suppose the first annoucement of anything new from C Crane will be heard on "Coast-to-Coast"...they are still pushing the current model (the small SW radio).

Is the CCRadio 2 to include the 2-meter ham band? Does CCrane realize that in some larger US cities certain 2-meter repeaters are "hang outs" for operators who spew what most would consider "R" or "X-rated" content pertaining to sex and drug abuse, as well as drug and sex abuse.

I heard one of those operators out of New York---far out man.
As for CCrane---one thing that really peeves people is any sort of delay. When businesses put "Opening Soon" signs out front, the business had better be opened within a month or two----if it drags six months or more, they will fail, guaranteed. If this product isn't going to launch by early June, CCrane might as well forget about it.

It won't be the first time CCrane has failed to lauch a well-teased model ie, the "mini" cc radio fiasco of a few years back.

CCrane has a long history of setting high customer expectations, then falling on their sword.

All fair points, but Crane has had some hits, as well.
The FM transmitter, the Twin Coil Ferrite antenna, and the original CCRadio (warts and all) come to mind.

dark intrigue.
