I don't think the article is well researched. Collectibles are one of the biggest categories on E-Bay and their not mentioned. As a buyer, I like the auction format because with some items starting at a penny or .99 cents, deals can be had. I've picked up great radios for around ten bucks. As a seller, I like the auction format because buyers determine the value----with "Buy It Now" I always wonder if I left money on the table. With a week long auction---a well written ad placed in the right category---you generally get what your item is worth.
