I think you automatically lose man points if you wear anything that is called 'slacks', men wear pants.

Diamond Gusset jeans are manly---they sew a gusset into the crotch for "ease of movement." They're the only jeans I buy.

I wear khaki pants from Lands End and Bill's Khaki and do not own a pair of jeans.
BTW, in high school, I paid $4.50 a pair for jeans.
