Considered a top performer, this is not a bad deal for an Montgomery Ward Airline Radio, which usually stays off bidders' radar screens.

Tube radio? As in, "vacuum tube?"
I don't think so. One of the eBay photos clearly shows "SOLID STATE" (i.e., non-tube) imprinted on the front panel, and the abbreviation for integrated circuit (IC) is also featured at the top of the tuning panel.

I didn't think it was tube. I am going to edit the title of the post. Thanks.

This is a Wards Airline model that I've reviewed here----it's become one of my favorite radios and it's bidding for under $10.00. If it stays south of $50.00, it's a reasonable deal. If it ends up selling for $30.00 or less, a steal. I can vouch for this model, assuming the condition of this specific set is good.

And look...360164789809 looks like the "solid state transistor tube" model featured here...but this one is currently bidding at under ten bucks, with less than a day left.

I have this same exact radio except the antenna broke off years ago, listen to the shortwave almost every night on that radio, works great! Have any clue how old it is because I don't know.
