I found one of these at a yard sale in 2007 for $10. Very good AM reception, exceptional FM reception, and overall very good sound. If you can find one in good condition for under $50, it's a good value.

The moral of this story is if your wife wants to stop at yard sale, YOU STOP. This was my second great radio find at a rummage sale I didn't want to stop for. My other one is a Sears-branded Yaesu FRG-7 selling for $20.

Your patience shall be rewarded.
