This is my famous RF-1170 , the one I´had talked so much in those early comments about AM sensitivity competition, it is as powerful on AM as the famous Panasonic RF-2200 but it doesn´t get SW but PSB high and low, it shares with the RF-2200 the gyro and the whip antenna. its FM performance is as good as the RF-2200 which is very good. It´s heavy and has 3 antennas (The long whip is for FM and PSB(high and Low), the short whip is for UFH (140-170 mhz)and the Gyro antenna is for AM. It has a twin the RF-1180 with SW (3 bands) instead of PSB which was sold in Asia. The tunning wheel is weighted and feels like a fine radio. Strongly recommended.
