I saw this movie once, when it first opened---in a theater. I've never watched again on video or television. Maybe I should. I hear people rave about it and about the character. My recollection is that I panned the movie badly. Ironically, I thought the character lacked authenticity (which seems to be what others rave about---that he WAS authenic in the role). I thought some of the sequences were pointless and didn't add humor. In any case, I seem to be outnumbered.

A movie is like a date. Either you connect with your date or you don't.

I can watch this film and Sideways over and over.

Anyone tried the CCRadio-2?

Films I can watch over and over include The Graduate, Pulp Fiction, Resevoir Dogs, Fargo and of course A Christmas Story.

"the dude abides"

Jeffrey McMahon

Maybe the dude is a California thing.

Terry, I've reviewed the CCR-2 for this blog. Strong AM, so-so FM, so-so speaker sound.

Thanks Jeff!

Terry, I should add the radio seems pricey. I think the Sangean PR-D5 is offering the same performance at about half the price.

The Dude abides forever as do all of the little Lebowski's

"MARK IT ZERO!!" Fav movie of all time here!

I wonder if the Big Lebowski fulfills some spiritual yearning people have. I think it does for me.

Has anyone been hearing the Dude's voice on any commercials lately?? I thought that was below the Dude's standards. Then again it was never explained on how the Dude made any money. THIS WILL NOT STAND, MAN!!!!

gerald

"it really tied the room together donnie."

Angelo

How does Kramer make money to afford an apartment in NY on Seinfeld? Was that ever explained on the show?

Ed K.

Also, how did Richard Kimble (The Fugitive) or David Banner (The Incredible Hulk) make any real money while on the run?? You really don't see shows like these anymore on TV!
By the way, is there any truth in the rumor of a sequel to The Big Lebowski???
