I have just received my KLH 200 clock radio that I bought on ebay days ago; I am very happy with the purchase, because I didn´t expect too much from it but it really is a strong performer on AM and FM!....It is a beautiful "semi" vintage clock radio from KLH from aprox. 1985 (made on the post -Henry Kloss period of KLH, manufactured in Japan by Kyocera Corp).
The KLH easily pulls out my "harder to hear" station 93.7, a kind of test for any radio receiver in my house, a low powered jazz station, task that was impossibel to achieve per example for the Sangean WR2 , the Tivoli model one and the Tivoli Songbook.
On the mw, despite it uses a frame antenna, it has excellent reception for the weak stations...again, it is a champion!
Regarding the sound, it is just great, very natural...the KLH has separated bass and treble controls too.
I have found another KLH 200 bidding on ebay, just if anybody is interested on it...Mine was $83 (plus shipping). I think that 90/100 bucks is a right price for such radio.

Did you tried to compare Tivoli AM reception with Sangean PR-D5 or C.Crane CCR-2.Just for curiosity Tivoli has 3.5 inch ferrite antenna and Sangean or C.Crane 200mm ferrite antennas. How far Sangean or C.Crane go with reception?

Tivoli PAL and Songbook are far short of the PR-D5 on AM. The PR-D5 is a close second to my best AM, the CCR-2. I haven't done a mile test, just weak local stations.
