Mike, "no issues" has become the parlance of our time, sadly.
BTW, my CCR-2 is growing on me as I'm now using it by my bedside. Even the speaker sound is warming up. Maybe the tranducers needed some playtime to get going.

I've never heard about the transducers needing breaking in, but I've often read that about speakers. Perhaps more likely you just got used to the sound.
I used a CCR original as my bedside radio for years. It replaced a Satellit 700 that had become less useful as SW was dying. The CCR makes a very good beside set, and is frugal with batteries. Wise choice.
