Thanks, Tom: The Tecsun PL-310 will not sell well in the USA since Tecsun is also working on the development of the PL 330 and 380 which most likely have higher levels of performance and features. According to postings I've read on the URL forum, a few of these new radios are being tested in the USA. Frankly, I think Tecsun has too many radios in their catalog.

Jeff, DX.CA today released the latest shootout results for ultralight radios: http://www.dxer.ca/file-area/cat_view/87-ultra-light-radio-files-area/94-ultralight-radios
DSP based radios did well.

Interesting shoot-out. One new DSP PLL ultralight not featured and not on dxer.ca's "untested" list is the tiny Degen DE17, which I'm hoping to have someone pick up for me in Hong Kong. If I can get a hold of it, I'll report back.
