'radiorecorder' is the name of these things. if you check ebay germany/austria theres a billion of them.
all probably kick ass on AM and FM and have decent speakers..

Yeah, rare for me because I've never seen one, but not so rare in Germany.

There was one of these that was on eBay about a month ago, I don't think it went for very much, can't remember exactly.

IIRC this is about the smallest model worth bothering with (or even 8xx?), below that the audio seems to get rather thin. Reception wise, even the biggest models apparently are not a match for a Satellit on FM, although I would expect them to be decent.
