Now defunct, the JVC Kaboom series still can be found on eBay. When I first saw the Buy Now prices of $300-400, I thought the sellers were crazy. But I was wrong. These Kabooms sell at high prices and quickly.
Here's a Kaboom with active bidding, currently going for $172 with over a day to go. One thing the Kaboom has going for it. It blasts over 50 watts. Find a radio that does that. Good luck.

Boom sound is matter, majority people like it. It does different perspective for music, voice, sound. Soft vibrations on human ears make pleasure to listen boom artificial sound. In Japan, Okayama I was in huge electric store. This store was sale hi-fi. After checked few expensive unit my choice was much less expensive hi-fi with good, boom sound. I realize it doesn’t have clear pictures of instrument, but it does have plenty of energy and softness.
