JVC Kaboom Is Back. This Time It's Built for iPod

The RV-NB50 Kaboom

Introduced in 1998 and discontinued a while back, the big 40 watts JVC Kaboom RV-NB50 for iPod is back. JVC announces that it's available this month for $299.95. Good thing because used models sell for as much on eBay. Thanks, Tom WC, for apprising us of this excellent news.

Akihabanara News is critical of the new Kaboom, claiming it's outdated and should be shock- and dust-proof. For me, though, it's an attractive design. I just wonder what kind of tuner sensitivity it has.

I checked Amazon and still don't see the RV-NB50 anywhere. However, Beach Audio has it in stock and is selling it for $282 with free shipping.
