Radio Russ

I have a friend who repairs, tunes and plays piano. He has perfect pitch and acute hearing. We both had Glen Gould's recording of 'The Goldberg Variations' on CD. He complained that he could hardly listen to it because Gould's breathing was so loud at various times.

I could never hear what he was talking about until I listened to it with an earlier version of Bose noise canceling headphones. I wish I could remember the model but they were top-of-the-line about 3 years ago.

They belong to another friend who is a private pilot and he swears by them for completely eliminating the drone of the Lycoming engines found in a lot of small planes.

I'd love to have a pair but I'm also put off by the price.
