I was going to put my Sangean PR-D5 in the baby room. But the speakers have distortion after 5 months. Then I tried the Boston Acoustics Horizon Solo. But the AM fried after 2 years. So it's my 37-year-old Panasonic RF-877 (purchased for $80 on eBay with the FM antenna tip missing). The FM and AM sensitivity is stunning. The speaker is rich, deep, and clear.
