Wow! What a nice collection, and i thought I had too many receivers my self. But I'd love to to see your collection, heck in the future you should also look in to going on a DXpedtion for AM / shortwave signals, away from household Big Screen TV, Florescent lights, light dimmers, computers ect. You definitely have the gear, as soon as your two darling daughters, will be old enough so that your wife can manage them without your help, so you can have some fun! :)

E-Bay 250622481438
A cool looking cheapie and my guess is that it's a half decent performer---similar to my Caprice radio.

Another E-Bay gem:
370371344456
I think it's "Hipster" not "Flipster."
Anyway, it doesn't get anymore 1970's than this. I love some of the Lloyds designs.

I've actually been looking at the Grundig Satellit 750, the latest model is said to be an improvement, and reviews are widely positive; I'm surprised at the "El Junko" label WC uses. Does anyone (including WC) own one and want to comment?

I know it is a hard decision to get the 750 due to some of the mixed reviews. I have only grown fonder of mine since my posted comments here:
http://herculodge.typepad.com/herculodge/2010/04/blakes-first-look-at-the-second-edition-grundig-satellite-750-sw-radio.html
I was going to get the 350 just to use as an outdoor SW radio that would play loud enough. Since paying extra for the 750 was not a big deal to me I figured it had to be as good or better than the 350 for this purpose. I am very glad I got the 750. There is no other radio on the market now that I would choose over it. I also like the audo line in that is on the front of the radio. I plug my iPod in and listen to podcasts like Coast to Coast while in the back yard. Works beatifully. It plays at a room or back yard filling volume without the sense of strain I now notice with my other radios (excluding my Tivoli Model 1). If my 750 were accidentally destroyed I would purchase another one ASAP.
