Ante laments the direction of Tivoli Audio as it navigates toward pretentious boutique styling and branding, evidenced in their new Cappellini Collection, a bad sign when it comes to radio performance. He writes:
Tivoli is more and more becoming like a fashion store, rather than radio making company. Many regards, Ante.

I've had both my PAL and Model One opened up. I didn't see anything inside that justifies the price (esp. the PAL). In fact, the amp chip in the PAL is rated for a minimum of 4 ohms and they have it driving 2 ohms!! Some sketchy engineering going on here... I'll stick with Sangean and/or the ol'-skool on eBay.

The first Tivoli Audio product I purchased was the PAL. I do like it for the sound and have used it as a portable speaker. Everything else I have purchased (Model One, Tivoli Audio Music System) from them comes through in style only and not performance. Considering the price that they charge you expect more. They are also the only company that actually raises their prices after introduction. Look at their Tivoli networks internet radio and the price they charge. You can get a better internet radio with more capabilities (Squeezebox Boom) for a quarter of the price. This company is embarrassing.
