Thanks, Elghon:
Finally I got a Tecsun PL-600 and I really impressed and delighted with my purchase. The audio is very clear and no distortions (unless I turn the volume up to the max). I use it mainly for SW and I love how sensitive it is. Will buy a PL-310 which is a little better than PL-380, because it's a little smaller and I can carry it wherever I go.

I got my pl-600 just over a week ago (through Ebay via the Kaito site in the SF Bay area, which I would recommend: 3 day delivery and you get a 120v AC adapter). Here are my thoughts: AM reception is very good, but audio is a bit muddled; FM reception is excellent, ditto FM audio; SW reception is not quite up to that of my Grundig SL350DL; I still haven't figured out how to get anything on SSB, but I'm sure the problem is mine and not the radio's. Love the size, feel, fit and finish, and user-friendly interface, It's just an easy, and enjoyable, radio to operate. Nice big dial with bright LCD readouts, smooth control knob. All in all, I'm happy with it.

Ooops. I thought I had put a strong, freshly-charged set of batteries in my 600. Not so, as the "Lo" light began to flash this afternoon, then the radio turned off. This after only a few days. So I put in what I was certain were a fully-charged set and everything instantly improved, especially SW reception which is now as good, in some cases better, than that of my my S350DL. The 600 is now a powerful little package. Next up: trying to figure out that SSB.
