I no longer use my Tecsun CR-1100 with DSP chip, excellent FM reception, poor AM reception, and shoddy build quality. I wanted to use it as a beater at work for getting FM, which it does well, but the radio has been shelved. Why? Because the volume fades in and out. Bear in mind, I hardly ever used the thing. My advice: Stay away from this model.

It's a shame, as this would make a nice larger-sized DSP radio. I have a couple of travel DSP radios, but I would like to have one with room filling sound.

Mine quickly developed the habit of turning it self on, and running down the batteries. This would happen days after I had last used it. I bought mine knowing it was labeled in Chinese, so I knew I would just have to guess what some controls do. There is something odd and annoying about the audio too, which is why I seldom use it.
