As expected my Grundig 350 does image strong shortwave stations about 930 Khz down. Sometimes the images are bringing the station in clearer than the actual frequency.
I still really appreciate the 350 even with its images and quirks. For one thing once a SW station is tuned in is really sounds great. Much better than my YB400 with the 350's lower noise floor.
However SW sensitivity is only average. AM & FM sensitivity seems above average. Great sounding on AM. I feel I can listen with little fatigue.
The 350 is fun to use. The sound quality of this radio makes it all worth it to me. I think that the analog design of this radio is a key reason for its pleasant sound quality.

I saw the 59.95 price at "The Shack". I still couldn't justify it with the near-mythical 450 less than a year away. However, just next to it, was a Grundig branded Kaito/Tecsun AN 200 passive loop antenna for $23! I'm now experimenting with the old soldier Sony 7600 and an Eton FR 300.

I have always enjoyed my S350DL. It's a solid radio. I am also waiting for the S450DLX to see how they measure up side-by-side, as with the RP-2100 (my CCRadio-SW). The only thing I don't like about the 350 and 450 is the top strap. (Yes, I'll keep ranting about that forever...lol). But I know it differentiates the radio from others.
More and more, it seems like we seeing the old General Motors business model being applied to radios...comparing the exact same radio head to head with the only difference being brand badges and model numbers.
