In the comments for the PR-D7 on Newegg, some people said this radio was on sale for $29.99 in September. That was an amazing deal.

Paul

Indeed it was ... the $29.99 sale lasted quite some time too; I don't recall if I posted it here.

I bought a fisher paykel top load washing machine on the advice of the guy at lowes. He said it's the only direct drive washer available ie. the motor attaches directly to the drum. It's great, does a nice job with dirt and the spin is so strong that my drying takes half the time it used to using half the energy. The thing sounds like a jet engine as the spin cycle winds up.

Jeffrey McMahon

Tom, is that Fisher Paykel now available with the US government water energy regulations? What exact model is it?

Jeffrey McMahon

Tom, also does the washer fill up with water when it washes or does it spray shower the clothes? Are all the clothes getting hit by the water and thus cleaned?

Paul

We've had a Fisher Paykel washer dryer set for 5 year. So far so good. I agree with Tom - drying times are short, noise of machines can be high but they do a great job.

Paul

Jeff,

Look here for energy star models (either search, via Find a Model, or look at the Excel list):

Our FP washer has both auto and manual modes. In manual mode you can select how much does the washer fill up. It also does spray the cloths once or twice, and does an extra rinse if you ask it to.

Jeffrey McMahon

Thanks, Paul. So bottom-line, there is NO compromising the cleaning of the clothes? Your clothes are thoroughly washed?

Paul

I've never felt our clothes came out washed poorly or not cleaned well. With kids you will get stains - just use a spray stain cleaner and you'll be set.

Jeffrey McMahon

Thanks, Paul. When our Maytag goes to the grave, which will probably be sooner than later, I'll shop around for an FP.
