FM antennas are broken and this Sony CRF-230 needs a cleaning, but hopefully that will keep price lower than usual. In my opinion, one of the most stunning radio designs ever.

At last year's AWA (Antique Wireless Association) Annual Conference, one went for $475 in the auction. It was in VG-EX condition. Had all paperwork with it too. I gave up bidding around $300.

In January, an ebay seller had a "Buy It Now" posting for a Sony CRF-230 for $400+$65 shipping. I took a chance and bought it on the spot. After appying some RS Cleaner, the radio sprang to life. The cabinet and controls are all in excellent condition. It came with the AC cord, the original Sony manual, original shortwave guide and the 2 battery tubes. This radio is indeed something special. With all it's controls, one can enjoy great fidelity on all of its covered bands. I highly recommend this radio to all: The best radio that Sony ever manufactured!
