Jeff, my Timex triathlon watch I bought in Jun 2008 has been dying a slow death for about a year and I guess it's time to find a replacement. I need a manly watch that won't break the bank and that has a timer so I can time my manly activities as needed. Any recommendations or just buy another disposable, made for the masses watch that lasts for only a few years? thanks.

KR, by timer do you mean stop watch, the kind on a chrono? If so, I recommend the $120 Invicta Force 6441. The curve on the case is perfect for wrists 7.5 inches or less. Mine are close to 8 inches so I have to wear mine loose. http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-6441-Collection-Chronograph-Ion-Plated/dp/B0036OSEPA/ref=sr_1_5?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1301338711&sr=1-5

Jeff,
That may work, about all the timing I do is swim 40 laps at the pool in 40 minutes, I think that watch would show that. Thanks

Jeff, worried that the leather band would get destroyed in the pool, what do you think? thanks

KR, for swimming don't get leather. You might like the Invicta 6996 Pro Diver for $125: http://www.amazon.com/Invicta-6996-Diver-Collection-Polyurethane/dp/B003MYUSQW/ref=sr_1_13?s=watches&ie=UTF8&qid=1301356900&sr=1-13

Jeff, I like all your recommendations, looking at the 6996, though, not sure how I would keep track of minutes/seconds on swim laps... Wonder if Invicta (or anyone else) has an analog diver's type watch with some type of chronograph (could be analog too). Thanks for your help.

KR, you're right, so I just posted a couple of chrono models on sale today. Neither are Invicta.
