The Invicta Subaqua Noma Specialty 5218 is an older model, no longer made as far as I know (yet can still find on the Internet from time to time), and represents a more sophisticated, elegant look.
The 5-row bracelet is very intricate and the watch is heavy in a good way.
Not a real diver watch, but the Specialty does have luminosity. The black dial turns a subtle shade of blue in certain lighting, a quality I like in upscale watches.
For a more aggressive look, there is the Invicta Leviathan series, my favorite model of Invicta evidenced by the fact that I own a half dozen variations. I wasn't in the market for the combat black but saw it on a one-day sale for $199 and free shipping and could not resist.
Out of the box, it is stunning but I feel I actually like it more after a few wearings, a very good sign. Like all Leviathans, it feels comfortable and heavy on the wrist.
Unlike my other Leviathan models, this combat style has gray markers and no luminosity, so this is a day watch as you won't be able to read time in a dark environment.
For a more aggressive look, you can't beat this combat black Leviathan. For sophistication, the Subaqua Specialty fits the bill.
Fraction Price currently has a few nice Invictas for under $50.00. They aren't Invictas on this level---but they're nice nonetheless.
