They missed the most interesting aspect of this unit; the cassette is actually removable and functions as a Walkman! It's the original iPod base.

I have one and it's a clever piece of engineering from a company that always marched to it's own band, despite the fact that it has long been part of the Matsushita colossus. In fact, it's "Japan Victor Corporation", originally founded and owned by RCA Victor. They even had the Nipper logo on their products into the early 60's.
